Born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley, Brian graduated from Cottonwood High School before attending Brigham Young University, where he competed on the swim team for four years and completed his degree in 2005. Coming from a family of educators, he began his career teaching and coaching swimming at Timpview and Cottonwood High Schools. He later transitioned into the chemical distribution industry, where he discovered a passion for operational excellence and team development.
Brian joined Brenntag in 2012 as an Operations Manager Trainee with Coastal Chemical in Cleburne, Texas. Over the next several years, he gained extensive operational experience, overseeing daily facility functions in Giddings, TX, and later spending eight years supporting the Oil & Gas Refinery sector at the Pasadena, TX location. His leadership and operational insight led him back to Salt Lake City in 2021, where he served as Regional Operations Manager for Brenntag Pacific, supporting facilities across Utah, Idaho and Wyoming.
In February 2026, Brian joined Sump & Trap Cleaning LLC, where he now leverages his multi-facility operations background, safety-driven mindset, and people-focused leadership style to support the company’s continued growth and service excellence.
